Hi, I'm Jimmy Alcala — Electronic Engineer and software developer based in Houston, Texas with 38+ years of experience building software and solving problems with technology.

I wrote my first lines of code in 1988 on a CP/M machine using MBASIC, and I've never stopped building since. From MS-DOS and UNIX terminals to modern cloud-native apps, I've lived through every era of software development — and each one taught me something new. Today I'm leveraging AI to accelerate development, improve processes, and integrate intelligent capabilities into the systems I build.

Originally from Venezuela, I hold a degree in Computer Science (TSU Informática) from ITUIN, Maracay, and a B.S. in Electronic Engineering (Telecommunications) from UDEFA, graduated Cum Laude, first in the Engineering Faculty. I founded MedanoSoft in 2001 and currently work as a Software Developer at InflatableOffice, building products I'm proud of with a team that values quality work.
