First Code
Started programming in MBASIC on CP/M. Began studying TSU Informática at Instituto Universitario Isaac Newton, Maracay, Venezuela.
MS-DOS Era
Learned Turbo Pascal, dBASE, and Clipper Summer '87 on MS-DOS. Built my first database applications.
UNIX & First Job
Joined the administrative department at ITUIN (where I studied). Programmed in FoxBASE on SCO UNIX using Vi. Learned RMS COBOL on SCO Xenix.
Graduated & Cattle Management System
Graduated as TSU in Informática from ITUIN, Maracay. Joined APRAROAYA (Cattle Ranchers Association) in Aroa, Yaracuy. Built a dual-purpose cattle management system in Clipper.
Healthcare System & Networking
Developed a clinic management system installed in multiple clinics across Falcón state. Started installing and managing Novell NetWare networks for businesses.
Credit Control System
Built a credit management system for FONDAPEMI in Falcón state.
Infosoft is Born
Created Infosoft — an administrative system for pharmacies, hardware stores, and SMBs. This product would evolve over the next decade and become widely used across Venezuela.
Government Developer
Joined Gobernación del Estado Falcón as a programmer. Developed multiple systems using Clipper, Visual Basic, and Informix.
MedanoSoft Founded & Infosoft Reborn
Left the government and founded MedanoSoft — a software company providing custom development, Linux server deployments, network installations, and hardware sales for businesses. Rebuilt Infosoft in Visual FoxPro with MySQL and PHP web components. The system still runs in pharmacies, supermarkets, restaurants, and retail stores across Venezuela today.
C# & .NET at MedanoSoft
Started developing applications in C# at MedanoSoft — building custom modules and new software solutions for businesses that needed more than what FoxPro could offer.
The Web Begins
Started building websites with PHP, HTML, CSS. Worked with PHPNuke for content management.
Electronic Engineering Degree
Graduated Cum Laude, first in the Engineering Faculty, with a B.S. in Electronic Engineering (Telecommunications) from UDEFA, Falcón state.
Ruby
Explored Ruby and modern web development patterns.
Python & WordPress
Started working with Python/Django and WordPress for various web projects and clients.
Farmatools — 400+ Pharmacies
Built Farmatools using the MEAN stack — a pharmacy management system that still runs in 400+ pharmacies across Venezuela. Each medicine provider had a different system — some used FTP, others web services, APIs, or even desktop software. I built bots, scrapers, and connectors in Python and C# to bridge them all. Some providers only had Windows desktop apps, so I built a connector using Mono to make it work on Linux servers.
Crypto Trading Bot
Built a cryptocurrency trading bot with a Python backend and Vue.js frontend.
Houston, Texas
Moved to Houston. Continued running MedanoSoft, building web applications, APIs, and digital products. Embraced modern stacks: React, Next.js, Astro, TailwindCSS.
InflatableOffice
Joined InflatableOffice as a remote Software Developer. Happy to be part of a team that values the work we do.
Open Source
Started building and publishing open source tools in Go and Rust — almost one project per week. Using AI tools (Claude Code, ChatGPT, Gemini) to accelerate development.
